Pappy Kojo triggers viral 'Try Me' dance challenge

Another dance challenge has gone viral.
On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, Sarkodie's instant hit 'Try Me' was released.
At 9:44 AM, Pappy Kojo posted a 30-second video to Twitter with the song playing at the background.
In the said video, he was seen performing what looked like a dance routine he had created for 'Try Me'. He had a dance partner with him.
The simple dance executed, as though in jest, covers the melancholy chorus of 'Try Me'.
The dance is currently being mimicked and modified, in some cases, by users of the internet across major social media platforms.

'Try Me' is Sarkodie's official response to allegations levelled against him in the book I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.
In the book authored by movie star Yvonne Nelson and launched on Father's Day, June 18, it is revealed Sarkodie once impregnated Ms Nelson and asked her to abort the baby, which she did.
The book says the pregnancy posed a threat to Sarkodie's career advancement.
In the 3-minute and 16-second MOGBeatz-produced 'Try Me', however, rap legend Sarkodie rebuts saying he rather asked Ms Nelson "to keep it" even though he admits: "I wasn't ready."
It was Yvonne Nelson, 25 at the time, who opted for an abortion because she feared the pregnancy would threaten her education, Sarkodie, 22 at the time, claims.
Indeed, a portion of I Am Not Yvonne Nelson's chapter 5 reads: “I must admit it was a tough year. I was in my final year at the university. I was banned from acting. I was pregnant and definitely was not prepared to host another human being."
Ms Nelson taking to Twitter to explain what has been called an inconsistency on her part, however, noted: "I was pregnant at the time I launched my glaucoma foundation, around October 2010. I graduated from Central University in Oct. 2010. It was my final year, but I’d completed my course work months before the October graduation and my pregnancy. I was only waiting for my certificate."
Yvonne Nelson's controversial memoir has become an instant bestseller. Sarkodie is in Denmark, Saturday, July 1, with his Jamz World Tour, celebrating his 2022 critically acclaimed and commercially successful Afrobeats 10-track album of the same name.
Meanwhile, it was once a sustained rumour that Pappy Kojo was dating Yvonne Nelson. He has constantly denied it, however, even though in his 2018 'Awoa' hit, he said in Akan Fante that: "If I have a chance with Yvonne Nelson, I will not spare her".
He also told Prince Benjamin (PB) of Class 91.3 FM in that same year, in a Class Drive (CD) interview, that he desired a baby with the actress.
In denying ever having anything sexual to do with Ms Nelson, Kojo in a 2021 interview on Accra-based TV3 said that "I'm a homosexual man."
Nicknamed Realer No, the Italy-based Ghanaian music star said in a 2022 Ameyaw Debrah TV interview that "I feel like Yvonne Nelson was my bestfriend, and we're not bestfriends anymore." According to Pappy, his friendship with Yvonne ended because "she became friends with someone I'm not friends with".
He said he had noticed "they are being bestfriends". By they, he explained he meant his frequent collaborator rapper Joey B and Yvonne.
"Yvonne Nelson was my bestfriend first," he stressed. "I don't know if they were friends but I was in Italy and I saw pictures of them."
He noted the two "are not friends anymore," and observed they had "unfollowed each other" on on social media.
He said he was "very happy" about the development.
