As far as his solo career is concerned, it seems The Game is done with the game. The Compton MC has spent much of the year putting the finishing touches on his long-awaited Born 2 Rap LP.

The album was originally scheduled to drop in October, but its release has been delayed due to some setbacks. The rapper took to Instagram on Tuesday (Oct. 16) in a now-deleted post to update fans on the status of his album.

The Game revealed that the album will be released via his newly-launched imprint, Prolific Records, this coming November. In the same post, the 39-year-old shared that the project will also mark his last studio release.

“Hood morning (no typo) to my day 1 fans [and] those waiting on the album,” the Compton MC greeted his 11 million Instagram followers. “I know I’ve been quiet but I’ve been grinding, tightening up the album for a November release. In the process, I started @prolificrecordsla [and] I will drop my last studio album [Born 2 Rap] on this imprint.”

Previously, the 1992 rapper opened up to Nick Cannon about his decision to bow out of the game with this forthcoming album, telling him, “you know what, man, 10 albums is good.

“No other rapper outside of Drake has more number-one albums than me. We tied at nine,” Game explained. The record will also feature a verse from the late Nipsey Hussle, as well as a rumoured guest appearance from Meek Mill, whom he recently made amends with after squashing their beef.
