US$150k, public recording studio for collaboration – Michy to Shatta Wale

Michy, formerly called Shatta Michy, has publicly accepted her former fiancé, Shatta Wale’s, invitation for a music collaboration with a caveat.
She wants “US$150,000 only.”
“The dollar rate is at a good height to do good business,” Michy laughed.
The TV personality won’t accept payment in Ghana Cedis.
“What will I do with Cedis?” she asked.
On Thursday, 8 September, 2022, Michy was on the Ayekoo Ayekoo mid-morning show on Accra 100.5 FM.
She also added it would be unsurprising for the Shatta Movement boss, Shatta Wale, to pay the said amount and later go complaining and crying to radio personality Andy Dosty “at 6.30 in the morning”.
This, she stated, is why “I don’t like to take his money but [concerning] the song [he wants], it is business.”
On whether she is genuinely open to working on a song with her former lover, the singer and media personality, born Diamond Michelle Gbagonah, responded, “Like I said, I’ve grown up and I understand the business we are doing. I’m ready to do it."
A moment earlier, Michy had remarked Wale should know she’s not angry with him as he may sometimes think, “It’s not that deep. I’m just living my life and I feel we can do it apart. It doesn’t mean you’re my enemy. Not at all.”
“If we were able to get so many millions of views on ‘Low Tempo’ and [for] that I didn’t even put in much effort, imagine what [this song would] be and this time I’ve learned the ropes of the music business so I am taking my royalties [and others],” she also reasoned.
Host Nana Romeo asked if she thinks Shatta Wale was being serious or joking about the collaboration.
“You can never tell with this man,” she chuckled.
“But like I’m saying, I’m happy he understands that, I bear him no grudge. I’ve moved on and I keep moving on. If we have something to do, if it’s not a conversation about the child [we share] and it’s about business, I’m also down for it,” she added.
For the production of the song, Michy stressed the recording “studio has to be a public place.”
According to her, going to Shatta Wale’s private studio would obviously be like walking into a lion’s den considering “the beef that I am. I cannot afford to be chewed.” She fears her ex-fiancé would successfully initiate sex.
“I don’t even mind setting up a mobile studio by the roadside. Safety precautions,” she concluded.
In 2017, Shatta Wale and then girlfriend, Shatta Michy, released a hit called 'Low Tempo'.
