Ablekuma North electoral chaos: Sam George asks Bawumia 'to shut up' as former VP calls on President Mahama to restore calm

Communication, Digital Technology & Innovations Minister Samuel George has reacted to a report of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia calling on President John Mahama to take action to restore calm to Ablekuma North constituency.
Today, Friday, July 11, 2025, chaos marred the rerun of the parliamentary election in the constituency, as some unidentified men were seen brutally attacking known members of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), including former Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya East constituency, Mavis Hawa Koomson.
When Joy Prime reported former Vice President Bawumia’s call to President Mahama on X, Sam George replied with: “Someone should tell Bawumia to shut up. What did he say about Ayawaso West Wuogon in 2019?”
During a parliamentary election in Ayawaso West Wuogon in 2019, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP for Ningo Prampram, Samuel ‘Dzata’ George, was notoriously assaulted by unidentified men.
