Annual Hajj and Umrah conference and exhibition set for Jeddah on November 9–12
Preparations are underway for the Annual Hajj and Umrah Conference and Exhibition, which will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from November 9 to 12, 2025.
The global event, one of the most significant gatherings of stakeholders in the Hajj and Umrah sector, is being organised by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in partnership with the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP).
Mohammed Amin Lamptey, Director of Communications, Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana, made this disclosure in a statement released on Tuesday November 4, 2025
The conference seeks to enhance pilgrim services, promote innovation, and strengthen leadership, transparency, and crisis management across all Hajj-related sectors. It is expected to attract thousands of participants, including policymakers, service providers, technology experts, and religious affairs officials from around the world.
According to organisers, this year’s event will focus on leveraging modern technologies—including Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital reporting systems, and social media ecosystems—to improve efficiency, safety, and communication in pilgrim management.
The Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP), which serves as a strategic initiative under Saudi Vision 2030, aims to enrich the spiritual journey of pilgrims by providing world-class facilities, digitalised services, and enhanced logistics to ensure a seamless and spiritually fulfilling experience.
1. Improving Pilgrim Services:
The conference will deliberate on ways to improve service quality in areas such as accommodation, transportation, feeding, and crowd management.
Discussions will also emphasise transparency and healthy competition among service providers.
2. Technological Advancements:
Participants will explore new digital tools and technologies designed to streamline Hajj and Umrah operations.
A major topic will be the ethical use of social media and digital communication to combat misinformation and ensure accurate reporting.
3. Strengthening International Collaboration:
The forum will serve as a platform for governments, private companies, and religious institutions to foster cooperation. Enhanced coordination between participating countries and service providers is expected to create a more integrated Hajj management system.
4. Promoting a Shared Global Experience:
Speakers will highlight the Hajj as a unifying spiritual journey that connects millions of Muslims across the world.
The event will underscore how the pilgrimage symbolises peace, equality, and solidarity among nations.
The 2025 edition will span 52,000 square meters, featuring over 260 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge technologies and services in the Hajj and Umrah sector.
The programme will include more than 80 sessions and 60 workshops, with presentations by international speakers and industry experts.
Ghana is expected to participate actively in the conference, which serves as a vital platform for knowledge exchange, partnership building, and the enhancement of global Hajj operations.
The Annual Hajj and Umrah Conference and Exhibition continues to play a central role in shaping the future of the pilgrimage experience — merging spirituality with innovation for a more efficient, inclusive, and inspiring journey to the Holy Land.
