BE/R: Police arrest, arraign suspect for operating illegal clinic in Yeji for 11 years

The Bono East Regional Police Command has arrested a suspect for operating an unlicensed clinic in his residence at Yeji Zongo in the Bono East Region.
The suspect, identified as Hanson Osei, was arrested on September 28, 2025, after police, acting on intelligence, went to his residence, where they found a chamber-and-hall room converted into a clinic.
A search of the premises uncovered several used clinical items, including needles, malaria injection bottles, infusion rubber sachets, and other medical materials.

During interrogation, police said Osei admitted that he had been operating the clinic for the past 11 years without authorisation from any recognised medical school or licensing authority.
He was put before the Tuobodom District Court on September 30, 2025, and has been remanded to reappear on October 6, 2025.
