Energy Minister engages Cenpower on strengthening Ghana’s power sector
The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Jinapor, has received a courtesy call from Cenpower Generation Company Limited, one of Ghana’s leading Independent Power Generation companies, as part of ongoing consultations within the energy sector.
The meeting focused on recent developments in the power sector and explored avenues for continued collaboration in line with the energy objectives of President John Dramani Mahama.
During the engagement, the Minister outlined the government’s vision of ensuring a reliable and sustainable power supply across the country, while maintaining strict fiscal discipline and safeguarding the long-term viability of the sector.
The discussions were described as constructive, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to strengthening partnerships aimed at improving efficiency, stability and investment confidence within Ghana’s power industry.
The Minister also signalled plans to deepen engagements with key industry stakeholders as the government works to secure a resilient and sustainable energy future for the country.
