Fire sweeps through Madina-Ritz Junction again

Ruins after fire
Several structures at Madina-Ritz Junction, a few kilometres from the University of Ghana in Accra, have been destroyed by fire.
The Tuesday night (30 May 2023) blaze started around 11 pm near the Madina fire station.
Fire officers struggled to subdue the inferno.
It is the second fire disaster in that area in four months.
The first one was on Wednesday, 1 February 2023, in which several structures, including houses were devastated.
