A former student of Royal Nursing Training College in the Ashanti Region has made troubling allegations about conditions at the institution, claiming that the school lacked proper administration and that nearly all matters were controlled directly by the owner, King Owusu.

According to the past student, the proprietor reportedly handled almost every activity in the school, leaving students without a clear or official platform to report concerns or seek help.

She made the allegation speaking on the Ghana Yensom morning show hosted by Chief Jerry Forson on Accra 100.5 FM  on Tuesday.

She alleged that this situation created an environment where students felt powerless and left the proprietor to throw his weight about.

He said the man was arrested occassion and let off the hook by the police in the Ashanti Region.

The former student claimed that some female students experienced harassment and intimidation from the proprietor.

She said those who refused certain demands from the owner of the school were sometimes insulted or treated unfairly, while others were allegedly embarrassed publicly.

She also alleged that the proprietor sometimes entered the girls’ hostel unexpectedly.

According to her, if the doors were locked, he would force them open.

The student further claimed that whenever inspectors were expected to visit the school, students were asked to leave the premises.

The former student, who says she was also a victim, explained that she decided to speak out so authorities and the public would become aware of the alleged situation at the school.

Management of Royal Nursing Training College has not yet publicly responded to the claims.

It is unclear whether the allegations have been officially reported to regulators or law enforcement.
