Ministry of Health appoints Tony Goodman as acting Head of Health Training Institutions Unit
The Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the appointment of Mr. Tony Goodman as the Acting Head of the Health Training Institutions (HTI) Unit.
In a circular dated 8th September 2025 and signed by Mr. F. Mensah-Acheampong, Director at the Ministry, all Principals and Directors of public health training institutions were formally informed of the new development.
Mr. Goodman’s appointment follows the extended leave of the substantive Head of the HTI Unit.
His duty post will be at the Human Resource for Health Directorate of the Ministry.
The Ministry has urged all Principals and Directors to extend their full cooperation and support to Mr. Goodman in the discharge of his responsibilities.
The Health Training Institutions Unit plays a vital role in overseeing the administration, regulation, and capacity development of public health training schools across the country, which are critical to Ghana’s healthcare workforce.
