ModernGhana saga: Court discharges 3 journalists

Mr Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri, the Deputy Editor of online media platform ModernGhana; Mr Emmanuel Britwum, a journalist with ModernGhana and Mr Emmanuel Obeng Manu, a journalist at Peace FM, were discharged on Friday, 5 July 2019.
Senior State Attorney, Stella Ohene Appiah, told the court that they were no more interested in the case and requested for its discontinuation.
Mr Abugri and Mr Britwum were arrested by National Security operatives on Thursday, 27 June 2019.
They were alleged to have been involved in cybercrime and hacking, which they have denied.
Mr Manu was picked up later in connection with the same offences and the three were slapped with the charges after an initial investigation.
