Muslim youth donate to Chief Imam ahead of Prophet Mohammed’s birthday
A Muslim Youth Group at Fadama, a suburb in Accra has presented some assorted items worth several hundreds of Ghana Cedis to the National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheik Usmanu Nuhu Sharubutu ahead of the celebration of the holy birthday of the Prophet Mohammed.
The items presented to the Chief Imam at his Fadama residence in the Greater Accra Region is to support the health walk to be organized as part of the celebrations.
The assorted items were made up of cartons of mineral water and cartons of soft drinks among others.
The leader of the Muslim Youth, Hussein Abdulai popularly known as ‘Suronim’ speaking in an interview after the presentation of items explained that the rationale behind the presentation to the National Chief Imam was to support the health walk that will be organized as part of the celebration of the Maulid (Birthday of Holy Mohammed).
Alhaji Abdulai who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Suronim Mining Company Limited in the Eastern Region said the presentation was to support the youth who will be participating in this year’s health walk.
According to him, health walk promotes healthy living and it is the reason the decision was taken by leadership to support the youth who will be participating in the activities.
