Nana Konadu Yiadom III: Hundreds of security officers deployed for one-week observance of Asantehemaa

Over 460 senior security officers have been deployed to ensure security for the one-week observance of Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
The event is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, August 20, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace, Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
During a media briefing at the palace today, the Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Godwin Ahianyor, announced that security measures would be intensified.
He also indicated that roads leading to and within the palace area would be closed to facilitate a smooth ceremony observance.
This includes the closure of St Ann's Anglican Church Road, Manhyia Bonjour Road, Sumankwahene's Road, and the road near Nick Petroleum filling station, which lead to the Manhyia Palace.
For his part, Planning Committee Chairperson for the event, who is also Amoamanhene, Nana Agyenim Boateng, stated that while a ban had been placed on funeral activities tomorrow, there would be no restrictions on trading activities.
