Nyinahin: Mintah Akandoh in serious car accident

The Ranking Member of Parliament's Health Committee, Mr Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has had a car accident.
He was returning from his constituency when his official vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming Sefwi Yiawso-bound Sprinter bus on the outskirts of Atwima Mponua town.
The accident occurred at about 18:05 on Saturday, 29 July 2023 when the MP's driver attempted to overtake a vehicle ahead of him and burst a tyre on the passenger side of the front. The vehicle then veered into the lane of the oncoming bus, resulting in the collision.
The accident caused significant damage to both vehicles, with the NDC MP's vehicle bearing registration number GN 441-14 and the Sprinter bus with registration AS 7363-18 left mangled.
According to reports from Still Waters Radio's Barima Oduro, many passengers on board the Sprinter Bus sustained severe injuries.
The injured passengers received assistance from the Ambulance Service, police, and officers of the National Fire Service, and were taken to the overwhelmed Nyinahin Government Hospital for treatment.
