President Mahama to begin Resetting Ghana Tour of Volta Region
President John Dramani Mahama will embark on a two-day working visit to the Volta Region from Thursday, 16 July to Friday, 17 July 2026, as part of his nationwide Resetting Ghana Tour.
A statement from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Volta Regional Secretariat said the visit will involve engagements with residents, inspections of ongoing projects, and the commissioning of completed infrastructure.
On the first day of the tour, President Mahama will perform a sod-cutting ceremony for the 24-Hour Economy Market at Juapong.
He will also inspect the newly completed 1,500-seater Multipurpose Assembly Hall at the Peki College of Education, as well as ongoing road projects including the Asikuma–Anyirawase Road and the UHAS By-pass and Anyirawase–Ho Road.
The President is expected to inspect the Multipurpose Laboratory Project at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Sokode Campus, and participate in the Free Primary Health Care Programme Durbar at the Ho Municipal Hospital.
On Friday, 17 July, President Mahama will inspect the Ho Sports Stadium and hold a Resetting Ghana Citizens’ Engagement at the Ho Technical University.
The engagement will bring together traditional authorities, students, religious leaders, civil society organisations, members of the business community and the media.
He will also commission the newly completed Akatsi North District Police Headquarters at Ave-Dakpa before concluding the tour with an inspection of the Ho–Denu Road Project.
The NDC Volta Regional Secretariat said the tour is aimed at allowing the President to assess development priorities, receive feedback from citizens and highlight government projects in the region.
