Storm displaces scores of Ejisu SHTS students

Scores of students at Ejisu Senior High Technical School have been displaced after a rainstorm tore off the roof of the boys' dormitory on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
The incident forced over 150 students to seek shelter in classrooms.
There were no injuries or casualties reported.
The extensive damage caused by the prolonged rains also affected teaching and learning materials, including the school's storeroom.
Additionally, seven classrooms were impacted by the storm.
The authorities, including the Ejisu Municipal Assembly and the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), have initiated assessments of the damage and provided interim accommodation for the affected students.
Mr Samuel Oduro Frimpong, the Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu, along with the Education Director, visited the school to assure assistance.
Moreover, Ejisu Experimental and Krapa Basic Schools were also affected by the adverse weather conditions.
