Tema East MP represents Ghana at Africa Food Systems Forum in Dakar
The Member of Parliament for Tema East, Hon. Ashai Odamtten, has joined a high-level Ghanaian parliamentary delegation at the 2025 Africa Food Systems Forum (AFSF), held this week in Dakar, Senegal.
The prestigious summit, organised by AGRA, brought together more than 6,000 delegates from 113 countries, including heads of state, policymakers, and leading figures from global agribusiness.
Hon. Odamtten, who serves on parliament’s Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs Committee, said Ghana’s participation reflects the country’s strategic commitment to shaping the future of agriculture on the world stage.
This year’s forum, themed “Africa’s Youth Leading Collaboration, Innovation, and Implementation,” focused on transforming agri-food systems across the continent.
Hon. Odamtten engaged in high-level discussions on investment opportunities, policy innovation, and sustainable strategies to empower young farmers and agripreneurs.
His participation is expected to help drive policy reforms, attract investment, and strengthen partnerships to improve food security, nutrition, and agricultural productivity in Ghana.
