V/R: Driver, pedestrian in critical condition after accident at Ghana Highway Authority entrance in Ho

A driver and a pedestrian are in critical condition following an accident at the entrance of the Ghana Highway Authority near Ghana Water Company Limited in Ho, Volta Region.
The accident occurred in the late hours of Saturday, 16 March 2025.
In an interview with Class News, an eyewitness, Dodzi Ameko, narrated the driver of a Nissan Sentra, with registration number GT 515-17, was heading towards Police Headquarters on the Accra Highway, when the vehicle veered off its way, went over the road median and ran into the Ghana Highway Authority's office entrance, living a pedestrian injured.
“The driver, as a result, lost control, resulting in a gory accident,” he added.
Through the swift response of the area's youth, the driver was sent to the Ho Teaching Hospital for medical care.
This is the second time within a month, a horrible accident has occured on that stretch of the road.
Residents appealed to the Ghana Highway Authority to construct a speed ramp to curb accidents.
The Ho Municipal Fire Service Command has, also, cautioned drivers to desist from unnecessary overspeeding, avoid distractions while behind the road.
