Police hunt for 2 suspects who stole $1600 from Accra mall forex bureau

The Police has begun a search for some two persons who allegedly stole money from a forex bureau at the Accra Mall.
The two, stole USD1600 on Monday, 27 February 2023, when they entered the forex bureau under the pretext of changing some money.
They however, managed to steal the money from the counter of the bureau without the attendant noticing.
The attendant upon realising that the money had been stolen followed them, but the two sat in a waiting vehicle and drove off.
According to the Police, this could be a new approached being employed by criminals to steal from unsuspecting victims.
It therefore urged the general public, particularly forex bureau operators to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police for the necessary action to be taken.
Also, persons with information on the suspects captured on the CCTV cameras of the forex bureau, are required to contact the Police.
