GES to compile list of teachers who've not received laptops for refund

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has instructed regional directors in the Eastern Region to provide a list of teachers who have not received their laptops for a refund.
In a letter dated July 14, 2024, signed by the Director-General of GES, Dr. Eric Nkansah, the directive was issued to compile a list of all teachers who were deducted for the TM1 laptop in 2022 but have not yet received their devices.
The directive comes in response to the delays and inability to distribute TM1 laptops to primary districts including Akyemansa, Birim North, and Kwahu Afram Plains North.
The statement from GES emphasized that the list must reach the Controller and Accountant General Department through the GES by July 16, 2024, in the July 2024 validation.
This swift action is intended to address the issue and ensure that affected teachers receive their refunds promptly
