It’s 8: PRESEC defends NSMQ title for the second time

In a remarkable achievement, Presbyterian Boys Secondary School (PRESEC) Legon has successfully defended their National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) trophy for the second time in their history.
PRESEC Legon secured their eighth NSMQ title on Monday, the 30th of October, in a highly competitive final round where they outperformed Achimota and Opoku Ware Secondary Schools.
PRESEC Legon, known for their exceptional track record in the NSMQ, clinched victory with a commanding score of 40 points. Their city rivals, Achimota School, and Opoku Ware School from Kumasi, had aimed to dethrone the giants and secure their respective third NSMQ titles, but they fell short in their efforts.
Achimota School secured 28 points, while Opoku Ware School managed to accumulate 23 points in the final round.
Despite the fierce competition, PRESEC Legon's students once again demonstrated their prowess in science and mathematics, solidifying their status as dominant contenders in the NSMQ.
This victory not only marks a historic eighth title for PRESEC Legon but also underscores their unwavering commitment to excellence in the fields of science and mathematics.
