Level 100 UG student drowns in swimming pool

A first year male student of the University of Ghana, Legon has drowned in the school’s swimming pool.
The student is alleged to have drowned following failed attempts to swim at a depth of 21 feet in the pool on Saturday, 29 January 2022.
According to eyewitnesses, the deceased had gone to swim at a depth of 21feet but was asked to go back.
He, however, went to swim again at the same depth but drowned in the process.
Some other students who were swimming in the pool at the time of the incident retrieved the body of the deceased.
