UG unveils refurbished Walls of Honour
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, together with members of the University’s Management, has opened a modern access control system at the entrance of the Convocation Group of Buildings, also known as the Registry.
The access control system, installed by Angel Data & Telecom Services, was provided as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
The system is aimed at enhancing security by protecting critical administrative offices while ensuring a safer environment for staff, students and visitors who access the facility.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, University officials highlighted the importance of leveraging technology to safeguard administrative spaces and improve overall campus security.
In a related development, refurbished Walls of Honour were also unveiled at the venue.
The Walls display the names of past Chancellors, Chairs of the University Council, Executive Heads, Pro Vice-Chancellors, as well as recipients of various faculty and staff awards over the years.
The Walls of Honour serve as a tribute to individuals whose leadership, service and dedication have significantly contributed to the growth, legacy and impact of the University of Ghana.
