On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, President Nana Akufo-Addo commenced the New Year with a Special Presidential Eucharist Service at the Jubilee House in Accra.

The Anglican clergy supervised the service, which has become a tradition to mark the beginning of the year.

Accompanied by the First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, the President expressed gratitude to God for the challenges overcome in the past year.

Despite facing difficult circumstances, he emphasised the nation's unwavering belief in the constant and eternal presence of the Almighty, acknowledging that divine guidance has been a source of strength.

The Presidential Eucharist Service, initiated in 2022 and continued in 2023, has transformed into a sacred space for prayer and reflection. It serves as a platform for the President and Jubilee House staff to seek divine wisdom in navigating the complexities of governance.

President Nana Akufo-Addo extended his appreciation to the Anglican Church of Ghana, led by Most Rev. Dr. Cyril Kobina Ben-Smith, and the event organisers.

He acknowledged their grace and spiritual guidance, emphasising that it has provided strength and inspiration not only to him but also to his family, colleagues, and the entire nation.
