Ashaiman army raid: One victim dead

One of the 184 residents of Ashaiman who were roughed-up by the military following the killing of a young trooper in the area, has died.
He was buried a few days ago in accordance with Islam.
A horde of soldiers rounded up scores of civilian residents of the Greater Accra regional town while scrummaging for the murderers of their young colleague.
The army manhandled several civilians in their search.
They held them in custody for days.
However, the police, through its intelligence-led operations, arrested and arraigned six suspects within days.
Several civil society groups such as OccupyGhana and the Centre for Democratic Development, have condemned the military brutality.
