Ayal Foundation celebrates 5th anniversary with empowerment initiatives

In a remarkable display of dedication to youth empowerment and community service, the Ayal Foundation celebrated its 5th anniversary with two impactful events: the Start Right Empowerment Summit at Services JHS and a Skill Training Summit at New Life Orphanage Home. Held on June 21 and June 22, 2024, these events empowered over 300 students with essential life skills, mental health awareness, and the importance of spirituality.
The Start Right Empowerment Summit kicked off with an inspiring introduction by Ms. Lydia Akosua Sekyibea Larbi, who urged the students to embrace determination and hard work. She emphasized that focus and resilience are key to achieving their dreams. Dr. Francis Asante followed with a session on adolescence, underscoring the importance of a balanced diet, physical activity, and a healthy mindset. He offered practical advice on managing mental health and coping with pressure.
Ms. Stella Gyimaah Larbi, recognized as Ghana’s Most Outstanding Teacher of 2022, captivated the students with her talk on "BECOMING." She broke down the acronym, encouraging students to Believe in themselves, be Extraordinary, stay Committed, practice Obedience, seek Mentorship, remain Inquisitive, build a Network, and involve God in their lives. She concluded by reinforcing that these principles are key to achieving greatness.
The summit concluded with a powerful summary by the CEO of Ayal Foundation, who reiterated the importance of involving God in all endeavours for a harmonious and successful life.
The celebration continued at New Life Orphanage in Nungua, where children learned essential skills such as bead making, fascinator crafting, and key ring creation. Led by Ms. Abena Eugenia Ahenkorah, the training was met with enthusiasm as children eagerly participated and produced beautiful items.
Ms. Ahenkorah expressed her satisfaction with the training, noting that these skills could help the children generate income in the future.
Ms. Linda Darko, the Public Relations Practitioner for Ayal Foundation, reflected on the milestone celebration, describing it as a starting point for even greater impact. She highlighted the foundation's ongoing projects: the Single Teenage Mother Initiative, Start Right Project, Social Impact Factory, and AyalCares, reaffirming their commitment to societal betterment. Ms. Darko also extended heartfelt thanks to the volunteers, team members, and supporters who have contributed to the foundation’s success.
