C/R: Two young men killed in fatal motorbike crash at Ajumako

A tragic road accident in Ajumako in the Central Region has claimed the lives of two young men following a collision between a motorbike and a Mercedes-Benz C-Class vehicle.
The incident occurred on Thursday between the premises of Impact FM and the Ajumako Catholic Junior High School. According to eyewitnesses, the Mercedes-Benz, with registration number DV-1661-Z, was being driven at high speed when the driver, identified as Cusmus Nyarko, lost control of the vehicle.
Carpenter and eyewitness Peter Adoasi recounted that the vehicle nearly collided with an oncoming taxi, which swerved to avoid impact.
However, in the process, the Benz crashed into a motorbike carrying two young men.
The rider, identified as Otoakwa Essel, also known as Mohammed — a student of Abaasa Technical School — died on the spot.
His pillion rider succumbed to injuries shortly after being rushed to the Ajumako District Hospital.
A grieving family member disclosed that the deceased had been sent on an errand by his father when the unfortunate accident occurred.
The Ajumako District Police have since retrieved the bodies and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
However, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz was reportedly not found at the scene and is currently being sought by authorities.
