COVID-19: IGP visits Accra Central to boost cops’ morale
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr James Oppong-Boanuh, on Saturday, 4 April paid a visit to Accra Central.
It was part of measures to boost the morale of police personnel and those of other security agencies who took part in a cleanup exercise in the metropolis.
The security agencies, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sanitation, took advantage of the partial lockdown in parts of the country, to undertake the cleanup exercise.
Ghana has so far recorded 214 cases of COVID-19 with 5 deaths and 3 recoveries.
The government has restricted movement in the Greater Accra and Ashanti Regions as well as Kasoa since 1 am on Monday, 30 March 2020 to prevent further spread of the virus.
