Class FM’s Moses Apiah nominated for 4th Upper East Regional GJA Awards
The Upper East Regional correspondent for Accra-based Class 91.3 FM, Moses Apiah, has been nominated for the 4th Edition of the Upper East Regional Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards, scheduled for Friday, October 10, 2025, at the BlueSky Hotel in Kumbosco, Bolgatanga East District.
The announcement was made in a press release signed by Anthony Adongo Apubeo, Secretary of the GJA Upper East Regional Branch.
The award, themed: “Upholding Public Trust: The Role of the Media in Promoting Accountable Governance in the Upper East Region,”aim to celebrate outstanding journalists who have demonstrated excellence in reporting and contributed significantly to promoting transparency and accountable governance in the region.
According to the release, the nominees were selected by a Vetting Committee chaired by Prof David Millar, supported by Dr. Samuel Adadi Akapule and Ms. Fatima Anafu-Astanga.
Moses Apiah, known for his impactful rural and developmental reporting, joins a list of distinguished nominees, including Nicholas Azebire (Dreamz FM), Joshua Asaah (A1 Radio), Castro Senyalah (TV3), and Peter Agengre (GBC), among others.
The awards ceremony will also honour Ms. Caroline Abisiku from Bolgatanga Technical University as the Student Journalist of the Year, recognising her dedication to emerging journalism excellence.
Lead sponsorship for the event is provided by WaterAid Ghana under the SHARE Project, with additional support from partners including MTN Ghana, Ghana Shippers Authority, RISE-Ghana, Endswell Pharmacy Ltd, and Paga Youth Movement.
The GJA expressed gratitude to all sponsors and stakeholders for their continued commitment to promoting professionalism and accountability in journalism across the Upper East Region.
