The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) in the last 10 months has made a recovery of GHC27.55 Million from proceeds of crime; monies that would have been lost to the State.

This was made known on Thursday, 24th November, 2022 at the budget hearing by the Finance Minister, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta.

The amount is a record high for EOCO compared to an average of about GHS5million in previous years.

Speaking to the EOCO News Desk on this, the Executive Director of EOCO, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah said she was grateful to her management team and all Officers of EOCO who made the feat possible.

She also stated that in 2023, EOCO intends to improve on its recoveries, sensitisation programmes on cybercrimes, gaming and its outreach programmes to markets, communities and religious institutions.
