The Electoral Commission (EC), has entreated all citizens to remain steadfast and repose confidence and trust in the Commission to deliver on its mandate.

This comes on the back of a registration slip circulating on social media indicating that the bearer of the Registration Slip registered at Kasoa in the Central Region while the Registration Slip gives the bearer’s district as Ayawaso North in the Greater Accra Region.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, 8 May 2024, the Commission however indicated the error only appears on the slip of the bearer.

“This error does not appear on Applicant’s Voter’s ID Card. It reflects on the Registration Slip which only serves as a reference, should an Applicant seek to replace his/her Voter ID Card. The error does not affect the eligibility of the Voter,” the EC added.
