Fire destroys K’si Central Market shops
Fire has destroyed parts of the Kumasi Central Market in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening at an arena of the market that is yet to be demolished for the third phase of the Kejetia Central Market redevelopment project.
The Ghana National Fire Service confirmed the incident.
More than 20 stores were razed by the fire.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
No casualties were recorded.
