Ghana committed to ending senseless gun violence – Sam George fires back at US embassy Ghana for supporting LGBTQI+ activities
Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram has reiterated Ghana’s commitment to end gun violence.
The MP was reacting to a tweet by the US embassy in Ghana, stressing its commitment to ensure an end to violence against Lesbians Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI+) persons.
The US embassy in Ghana had said in a tweet on Monday, 27 June 2022, that: “The U.S. is committed to ending violence, discrimination, and stigma against LGBTQI+ persons and promoting human rights and fundamental freedoms for all.”

Being one of the leading crusaders against LGBTQI+ activities in the country, the Ningo Prampram legislator, in reaction to the tweet said: “Ghana is also committed to ending senseless gun violence anywhere and everywhere in the world.”
He added: “We are committed to seeing school kids go to school without their parents scared of receiving calls of a school shooting involving military grade weapons.”
