Oppong Nkrumah supports Nsawam Prison on 42nd birthday

The Works and Housing Minister, Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, marked his 42nd birthday with a meaningful act of generosity as his family made a significant donation to the Nsawam Prison.
The donation, presented on Friday, April 5, 2024, comprised essential supplies including rice, beans, gari, sachets of water, t-rolls, washing powder, oil, and medical supplies.
Representing the Minister, Kwame Oppong Nkrumah, the head of the family, expressed hope that the donation would contribute to the welfare of the inmates.
In response, ADP Nii Armah, representing the prison authorities, conveyed sincere appreciation for the Minister's thoughtful gesture, emphasizing the importance of such contributions in meeting the basic needs of the prison's over 3,000 inmates.
"These items will greatly assist in fulfilling the basic needs of our inmates, and we are grateful to the Minister for his support," he remarked.
The donation forms part of the family's philanthropic activities on the occasion of the Minister's birthday. Last year, on his 41st birthday, a similar outreach program was initiated with donations to the correctional center.
This charitable endeavor reflects a broader commitment to community service by Mr. Oppong Nkrumah, who has spearheaded various initiatives, particularly in his constituency of Ofoase Ayirebi
