Otumfuo and wife invited to King Charles' coronation

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and his wife, Lady Julia, have been invited to the coronation ceremony of King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen Consort.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, 6 May 2023 in London.
King Charles' coronation will be the first in 70 years.
He succeded his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who died at her rural Balmoral home on September 8, 2022.
The coronation will be held at Westminster Abbey.
Other monarchs and world leaders will also be at the strictly-by-invitation royal ceremony.
In a statement, the Manhyia Palace said the Asante monarch and his wife will join other royals and world leaders at the coronation, which Manyhia said "is expected to be a feast of pageantry".
Manhyia said "before the coronation, Otumfuo Asantehene and Lady Julia will be received by King Charles in a private audience at Buckingham Palace on May 4, 2023."
"They will also attend the king’s official reception for overseas guests on May 5, 2023," the statement added.
