Owusu-Bio inspects seedlings ahead of Green Ghana Day
As part of preparations towards the 2023 Green Ghana Day, the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, responsible for Lands and Forestry, Benito Owusu-Bio on Monday, 5th June, 2023 paid a working visit to the Forestry Commission head office to inspect variants of seedlings.
The Forestry Commission has also brought in stock some coconut and palm tree seedlings awaiting dispatch and distribution on Friday, June 9 2023.
Some of these seedlings will also be available at the Forest Services Division in the Region and District offices.
On Green Ghana Day, a total of 10 million seedlings will be planted across the country whilst nurturing the over 30 million which were planted in 2021 and 2022.
The general public have been advised to continue nurturing trees planted and shun activities that bring harm to these trees.
