S/R: Two arrested for killing buffalo inside Mole Nat’l Park

Two persons have been arrested by the Damongo Divisional Police Command in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region for killing a buffalo inside the Mole National Park.
The two, Mumin Baharu and Osman Ibrahim aka Vuga were arrested by the Rangers of the Mole National Park on Saturday, 9 April 2022.
The two are reported to have come from the Larabanga Community which is 5 Kilometres from the Mole Park.
According to the Rangers who arrested the culprits, they were on a normal patrol in the park when they heard gun shots and rushed to the scene.
They found a four-man team of Poachers, who had shot and killed a buffalo and were in the process of sharing it.
They were later handed over to the Police.
The two poachers are alleged to have been on the wanted list of the Mole National Park for a while now due to their poaching activities.
