Samira thanks nurses for rescuing her from confab heat

Mrs Samira Bawumia has expressed her gratitude to members of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) for coming to her rescue when she “succumbed to heat” at a conference venue.
The wife of Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia delivered the keynote address at the opening of the 17th Biennial National Delegates Congress of the GRNMA.
While there, Mrs Bawumia said she “succumbed to the heat” probably due to poor ventilation but the health professionals quickly attended to her.
“I am grateful to the professionals present for their timely intervention after I succumbed to the heat at the conference venue. Thank you all for the well-wishes,” she posted on Facebook.
The GRNMA, founded in March 1960, is a professional association of Ghanaian nurses and midwives enrolled by the Nurses and Midwives Council of Ghana.
