Tamale: Houses burnt in chieftaincy dispute

Angry youth in Yong Dakpem Yili, a suburb of the Tamale metropolis in the Northern Region, have burnt down 24 houses in a chieftaincy dispute.
The incident occurred on Thursday (18 February 2021) evening.
The fight forced women and children to flee to nearby villages for refuge.
It is unclear what sparked the latest disturbances but security personnel have visited the town to restore peace and order.
