The Youth Employment Agency (YEA), under the leadership of CEO Malik Basintale, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ghana AIDS Commission to implement a nationwide HIV/AIDS education and prevention programme targeting young people.

The initiative, spearheaded by CEO Malik Basintale and Dr. Kharmacelle Prosper Akanbong of the Ghana AIDS Commission, seeks to empower YEA beneficiaries with accurate information on HIV prevention, reduce stigma, and promote voluntary testing among the youth.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Basintale emphasised YEA’s broader commitment to youth development, noting that health and well-being are essential to building a productive and resilient workforce.

“This partnership underscores our belief that youth empowerment goes beyond job creation.

We are committed to ensuring that Ghanaian youth have access to the knowledge and resources they need to lead healthy lives,” he said.
