4 more deaths take COVID-19 death toll to 139 with 24,518 cases

So far, 139 people have died of the disease in Ghana

Ghana has recorded 270 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total load to 24,518, the Ghana Health Service has reported.

The new cases were from samples taken between 17 June and 8 July 2020.

Also, the number of recovered and discharged patients has increased to 20,187.

Similarly, the death toll has increased by four, and now stands at 139.

The active cases are 4,192.

PREVENTIVE MEASURES FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC

Stay at home, observe social-distancing, avoid handshaking.

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, throw the tissue into a closed bin, and then wash your hands.

Always wear a mask, particularly when leaving home.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects or surfaces such as remote controls and doorknobs.

Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Call the designated health line(s) in your district for necessary assistance or support if you develop fever, cough, or difficulty breathing.
