COVID-19: 4th death, 2nd recovery, caseload now 137
Another patient has died of COVID-19 bringing the number of casualties to four while one more person has recovered bringing the number of recoveries to two.
The dead patient had underlying health issues, the Ghana Health Service said in an update.
Also, one new case has been confirmed, bringing the case count to 137.
Meanwhile, Ghana's first COVID-19 case outside Accra, Kumasi, Obuasi and Tema has been recorded in the Upper West regional capital, Wa.
Regional Minister Hafiz Bin Salih confirmed on Friday that a 42-year-old Ghanaian who visited the United Kingdom and Spain and returned through Egypt tested positive for the disease.
The minister made the revelation at a press in Wa.
The patient, who started showing symptoms about eight days ago, joined public transport from Accra to Wa.
The Upper West Regional Director of Health, Dr Osei Kufour Afreh, told journalists that the test result came in on Friday.
