Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s tour of the Northern parts of Ghana is emerging as one of the defining moments of the NPP’s presidential race, marked by a surge of high-profile endorsements that highlight the growing force of his campaign.

The most symbolic of these is the public backing from the family of S.D. Dombo, a towering figure in the party’s tradition. In NPP history, the Dombo name is more than heritage.

It embodies inclusion, grassroots empowerment, and national unity.

Their endorsement of Acheampong has sent a powerful signal across the northern regions and beyond, reframing the conversation about leadership and loyalty.

Across the Upper West, Upper East, and North East regions, Acheampong has drawn packed meetings, warm receptions, and emphatic declarations of support from constituency executives, elders, youth leaders, and opinion shapers.

The chorus has been consistent: the party base is demanding discipline, fairness, and a leader who can restore trust and deliver victory.

Local party leaders have been especially vocal. Wa East Chairman Sumaila Kankuronye declared, “I’ve known Bryan for a long time and seen his contributions to the party. I believe he is the right person to win power for us.”

Similarly, Wa West Chairman Abdulai Seidu affirmed, “Bryan has the experience to lead our party.

He has worked hard for the NPP and deserves to lead.

Bryan is the only unifier our party needs for victory, and I urge all delegates to vote for Dr. Bryan Acheampong.”

Party insiders note that the northern tour has disrupted long-held assumptions about voting blocs and regional allegiances. Delegates are increasingly focused on credibility, organisation, and electability, qualities that Acheampong’s structured, data-driven campaign has projected with clarity.

The Dombo family’s endorsement, reinforced by the strong voices of northern chairmen, underscores Acheampong’s image as a unifier — a candidate capable of bridging regions, traditions, and generations within the party.

As his northern engagements continue to build momentum, one thing is clear: Bryan Acheampong is no longer merely contesting.

He is consolidating.
