Central Regional NDC secretary caught revealing 'top' party secret
The Central Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a disclaimer to clarify reports surrounding the allocation of security service recruitment slots to constituencies in the region.
In a statement dated Tuesday, January 6, 2026, and signed by the Central Regional Secretary, Gabriel Nii Kommey Adams and intercepted by Classfmonline.com, the party dismissed claims that the slots were lobbied for by the Central Regional Chairman, Richard Kofi Asiedu, describing such assertions as false and misleading.
According to the statement, the recruitment slots were made available by the Minister of the Interior through the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, and officially transmitted to the regional party secretariat for fair and equitable distribution across all constituencies in the Central Region.
The Secretariat explained that each region in the country was allocated an equal quota through their respective regional ministers, stressing that no individual regional executive member played a role in lobbying for the slots.
Under the agreed-upon protocol, each constituency in the Central Region is entitled to two recruitment slots—one for the Ghana Police Service and one for any other security agency, including the military, the Prisons Service, the Immigration Service, or the Ghana National Fire Service.
The statement further directed Constituency Chairmen and Secretaries to consult their constituency executives and submit the names for the two slots through an official letter signed by the Constituency Secretary and written on the constituency’s letterhead.
All constituencies have been given a deadline of the close of work on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, to submit their lists to the Central Regional Secretary, with the party cautioning that no extensions will be granted.
The Regional Secretariat urged party executives to comply fully with the directive in the interest of transparency and fairness, while encouraging regional executives who require clarification to contact the Regional Secretary or Organiser.
The statement concluded by reaffirming the party’s commitment to transparency in the allocation process and extended New Year greetings to party members across the region.
