Ghana records 26 new Mpox cases , total now 713
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 26 new cases of Mpox as of October 10, bringing the country’s total number of confirmed cases to 713.
Recent updates indicate that three patients are currently on admission, while the death toll remains at three, with no new fatalities recorded.
On October 7, the number rose to 687 when the country recorded 17 new cases.
The GHS has urged the public to remain vigilant and practice good hygiene to help curb the spread of the virus, which is primarily transmitted through close contact with an infected person.
Common symptoms of Mpox include: fever, rash, headache, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, chills, and tiredness.
The Service advised that anyone experiencing these symptoms should immediately report to the nearest health facility for examination and treatment.
