Gov't committed to completing the Agenda 111 projects-Health Minister

The Minister for Health has responded to claims made by the former Minister for Health, Dr. Okoe Boye, regarding the Agenda 111 project.
The Minister stated that the former Minister's claims were inaccurate and misleading.
On behalf of the Minister of Health, Mr Tony Goodman, Head of Health Training Institutions Unit, explained that the Agenda 111 projects are currently undergoing assessment by the Architectural and Engineering Services Limited (AESL).
The assessment will determine the feasibility of the project and inform future decisions.
He disputed the former Minister's claim that three facilities were completed and ready for use.
He stated that visits to the facilities revealed that they were not completed or fit for purpose.
Tony Goodman also responded to claims that the government should pay contractors.
He questioned the former Minister's interest in the matter, suggesting that the Minister's claims may be motivated by personal gain.
He addressed claims that health workers were not being posted to facilities.
He explained that the NPP government had not done major postings in years, and it was only in 2024 that postings began.
The Minister's spokesperson assured that health workers would be posted to facilities once the assessment of the Agenda 111 project is completed.
He reiterated that the government is committed to completing the Agenda 111 project and providing quality healthcare to the people.
He urged the former Minister to allow the assessment process to be completed before making further claims.
