Korle Bu staff fight CEO over retirement age
Workers at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital are fighting the CEO, Dr Daniel Asare, over his retirement age.
Dr Asare was appointed as the new Korle Bu CEO in August 2018.
He came in at a time when a heated misunderstanding existed between the Korle Bu Senior Staff Association, KOSSA, and the then-management led by the CEO at the time, Dr Felix Anyaa.
The workers have started spreading protest posters around the facility.
They are demanding the CEO’s exit because, according to them, he has reached the public sector retirement age of 60 years.
They alleged that Dr Asare, per his personal details at the Social Security and National Insurance Trust, SSNIT, was born on 31st May, 1960, and should retire at the end of this month when he turns 60.
