The legislator during the 2020 election went unopposed in the parliamentary primaries and has been given the mandate again

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa South Constituency in the Upper East Region, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, is going unopposed for the second time in the upcoming National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) parliamentary primaries.

The legislator during the 2020 election went unopposed in the parliamentary primaries and has been given the mandate again by the constituency executives and sympathisers of the party in the area.

The decision according to some of the constituency executives was based on the legislator’s hard work and commitment to the general growth of the party.

“Looking at the developmental projects he has been able to bring to the people of the Builsa land are unmeasurable and hence need our support”, a constituency executive noted.

Meanwhile, the legislator on Saturday 25 February 2023, picked nomination forms to contest the National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary primaries for the Builsa South Constituency.

Appreciating the confidence reposed in him to go unopposed again, Dr Apaak assured the constituency executives that collectively they will improve the growth of the area and the party as a whole.

“It is with great humility that I express my profound gratitude to the rank and file of the NDC in Builsa South for making me the Candidate for the party for the coming 2024 parliamentary elections.

“To have been favoured to represent the NDC unopposed as was the case for the 2020 elections is an honour, I will never take for granted,” he said.

He, therefore, stressed that: “I will continue to serve with integrity, and promise to work even harder to retain the seat and to increase the votes of John Dramani Mahama.”
