YEA, Ambulance Service graduate final batch of Community Medical First Responders
The Youth Employment Agency (YEA), in partnership with the Ghana National Ambulance Service, has celebrated the passing-out ceremony of the final batch of Community Medical First Responders (CMFR) at the National Ambulance Training Centre in Nkenkaaso in the Ashanti Region.
The event marked a significant moment in the nationwide effort to improve access to timely emergency care, particularly in underserved communities.
Led by the Agency’s Chief Executive Officer, Malik Basintale, the CMFR initiative has been recognised as a major step in empowering young people with essential lifesaving skills.
The completion of this final cohort reinforces the YEA’s commitment to equipping the youth with practical competencies while contributing directly to national development.
The newly trained responders are now fully prepared to assist with pre-hospital emergency care across the country.
Their deployment is expected to make the greatest impact in remote and hard-to-reach communities, where residents often face challenges accessing immediate medical assistance during emergencies.
The YEA extended its congratulations to all graduating trainees for their dedication throughout the training period, while commending the Ghana National Ambulance Service for its professionalism and continued collaboration.
With this milestone, both institutions believe the future of Ghana’s emergency response system is significantly strengthened as more young people rise to serve their communities.
