The Dagomba community in the Ashanti Region have registered its displeasure at the reshuffling of the minority caucus leadership.
They have described as disrespectful, the decision to sack their two sons, Mr Haruna Iddrisu and Mr Muntaka Mubarak,
They say the move will affect the electoral fortunes of the National Democratic Congress in the 2024 general elections.
Addressing a press conference on Sunday, 29 January 2023, the Secretary to the group, Mohammed Baba Alhassan, noted that the NDC’s National Chairman, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, is not only disrespecting Haruna Iddrisu and Muntaka Mubarak, but also indirectly campaigning for a different potential presidential aspirant to the detriment of former President John Dramani Mahama.
Mr Mohammed said many of their people are aggrieved over the unconsulted decision taken by the national executives of the party.
They threatened that if the decision is not reversed, some of them vote 'skirt and blouse' in the 2024 general elections.
He, therefore, called on the national executives of the party to listen to the masses and revoke the decision.
